Is ESCAPE really free?
Yes. Event creation, community management, RSVP, chat, AI matching, map discovery, and all 15 languages are completely free. You only pay when you sell tickets to a paid event, and even then the fees are competitive with Stripe processing rates.
What fees do attendees pay?
That depends on the fee model the organizer chooses. With "Host pays all," attendees pay exactly the listed ticket price. With "Attendee pays service fees" or "Attendee pays all fees," additional charges are added at checkout so the organizer keeps more of each sale.
How do organizers get paid?
Organizers connect a Stripe account during event setup. Payments use Stripe Connect’s destination charge model: funds go directly to the organizer’s account after the platform fee. Payouts follow Stripe’s standard schedule. Multi-currency payouts are supported across 32+ countries.
Can I use ESCAPE without selling tickets?
Absolutely. Most events on ESCAPE are free. You can create unlimited free events, build communities, chat with members, use AI matching, and access every feature, all at no cost. Ticketing is entirely optional.
