Child Safety Standards

Last modified: October 23, 2026

These standards apply to the ESCAPE mobile application and website (the "Service"), published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by Escape Platforms Inc. and accessible at https://web.esc-ape.ca. They describe our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and how we enforce them.

1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

ESCAPE explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This includes, without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any format; sexualization of minors; grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to solicit, pressure, or manipulate a minor; trafficking or facilitation of the exploitation of minors; and the use of the Service to arrange, promote, or attend any activity that endangers a minor. Any account engaged in such conduct is removed.

2. An adults-only service

ESCAPE is intended for adults. Our Terms of Use require every account holder to be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, or seventeen (17) with a university email address verified with ESCAPE. Accounts that don't meet this requirement may be removed.

3. Enforcement

We enforce these standards through content moderation and in-app reporting. Every profile, post, event, and message surface in ESCAPE provides a reporting flow, and reports are reviewed with priority given to child-safety matters. When we identify CSAE we remove the content, terminate the accounts involved, and preserve and report the material to the relevant authorities — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, and law enforcement — as required by applicable law. We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement agencies.

4. How to report a concern

Use the in-app Report action on any profile, post, event, or message, or contact us directly at general@esc-ape.ca. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.

5. Child safety point of contact

Escape Platforms Inc. designates general@esc-ape.ca as its child safety point of contact for notifications from app stores, safety organizations, and law enforcement regarding these standards and our compliance with applicable child safety laws, including CSAE prevention.
